Abidjan Congestion Surcharge

Fri, May 26, 2017
Abidjan is undergoing severe yard and port congestion due to the peak export season and an accident of a gantry crane. Cargo operations at berths are affected and all lines are affected with extremely long waiting times.

“To ensure the sustainability of the service, PIL has no option but to collect the Abidjan Congestion”, Pacific International Lines informed in a statement dated 25.05.2017. A surcharge (CGD) of USD 200/TEU applies with effect of 1st June 2017 for all Abidjan import cargoes. The CGD is to be payable in prepaid terms at POL by the booking party.
